Sunday was no ordinary day for our team at The Yorkshire Maintenance Company. While most of us were enjoying a slower-paced weekend, our Project Director, Elliot, was taking on one of the world’s most iconic endurance events — the London Marathon.
Taking on 26.2 miles through the capital is no small feat. The marathon route winds its way past some of London’s most famous landmarks, with thousands of runners and even more supporters lining the streets to cheer them on. It’s an incredible atmosphere—but also an incredible challenge.
Elliot showed true determination, discipline, and resilience from start to finish. Months of early mornings, long training runs, and commitment all led up to this moment—and on Sunday, it all paid off as he crossed the finish line.
Completing a marathon is something many aspire to, but few achieve. It requires not just physical endurance, but mental strength and a huge amount of dedication—qualities that Elliot brings into his role at The Yorkshire Maintenance Company every day.
We’re incredibly proud of what he’s accomplished. It’s inspiring to see members of our team pushing themselves outside of work and achieving something so significant.
Congratulations, Elliot—an amazing achievement and one we’re all celebrating with you!
